Welcome to the Hambletonian

An elegant Victorian home situated on a knoll surrounded by gardens and trees located in the historic village of Chester. The porches and secluded patio provide quiet refuges for visitors to relax. The spacious formal reception rooms with period furnishings transport guests to a bye-gone era. Both guestrooms have private baths and traditional decorations and furnishings. Breakfast with home-baked goods is served on the porch or in the formal dining room.

Located in the historic Hudson valley, Hambletonian House is 50 miles from Manhattan which is accessible by train, bus or car in little more than an hour. Nearby, West Point offers scenic and historic attractions while the Sugar Loaf craft village, Woodbury Common, and local antique shops provide a wide range of shopping and browsing opportunities. Other historical attractions include the Museum village, Trotting hall of fame, and Knox and Washington headquarters during the revolutionary war. A visit to one of several local wineries on the wine trail could also offer a relaxing respite after a busy day of sightseeing and shopping.
